Amanda Biccum was kind enough to sit down with us and chat about her entrepreneurial journey.
So Amanda, how did you get started with your entrepreneurship journey?
Amanda: My journey with entrepreneurship began as a yoga teacher while I was living in San Diego. Yoga was my saving grace, it got me out of the party college lifestyle and helped me connect to a deeper part of myself (my spirituality) that I was very much missing. Through yoga, I learned about the effects food had on my body and switched my major to become a holistic nutritionist.
From there I went on to travel the world for nearly a decade to learn about ancient eastern religions, traditions, and healing modalities. I studied everything from Shamanism in Central America to Tantra, Taoist and Buddhist practices in Thailand to Yogic philosophy and Hinduism in India.
Being outside of the ‘matrix’ and my social and societal conditionings for so long I began to ask myself what truly makes me happy and how I desire to live my life. I realized I never wanted to work for someone else doing something I didn’t love. As I evolved, so too did my passions. I learned how to integrate everything I learned into the thing that meant the most to me; my relationships.
What sets your business apart from others in your field?
Amanda: I can sum it up in one word. Authenticity.
At the end of the day, I teach from embodiment, which means; I don’t speak about things solely from books or knowledge, I speak about them from my own lived experience.
Currently, what do you hope to achieve?
Amanda: I see the Embodied Empire global sisterhood growing immensely. My goal is to bring 100,000 women more pleasure through my courses, programs, and community. I hope to support the movement of sex positivity and healthy relationships by removing the taboo around our pleasure and our sexuality.
Thanks for sharing your story. What is the best way for someone to reach you?
