Nathan Sharma, the COO of NIWE Academy, believes that starting a business is all about turning your passion into a career. It may not be as easy as it sounds, but the rewards are bountiful and worthy of all the time and effort you put into it.
When Nathan joined NIWE Academy as a helper being assigned meaningless tasks, he was still motivated to make the most out of the opportunity granted to him. Within a few years, Nathan turned his small family business into a multimillion-dollar corporation. Currently, the company provides the highest quality education and tools throughout Canada.
According to Nathan, running a business is the most rewarding career one can have. It gives you the authority and autonomy that you would not find elsewhere. Moreover, it gives you the creative freedom to experiment with innovative ideas that could take your business to new heights. Nonetheless, starting a business does have its fair share of risks. Nathan believes that the only ones who can navigate their way out of those risks are those who can remain steadfast in the face of adversity.
If you are someone who is likely to give up without a fight, your company will not survive the financial, legal, operational, and reputational risks associated with starting a business. Hence, Nathan suggests that for someone to persevere in the business world, they must exhibit the following attributes: mindfulness, clarity, tenacity, and a strong vision.
Nathan further added that passionate leaders have the highest business success rate. This means that business owners must view their failures as an opportunity to grow. At the start of his career, Nathan launched two online business ventures, which included an e-commerce business and a B2B business. However, the two ventures soon fell apart. Nonetheless, Nathan did not capitulate to this undesirable outcome. In contrast, he acknowledged his mistakes and vowed to not repeat them again.
Being a stalwart supporter of the idea of being your own boss, Nathan believes that everyone must at least once try their luck in business. He states that being a part of NIWE Academy has changed his life for the better, and he wants everyone to experience this feeling at least once in their lifetime.
