Allura is one of the most promising stars of the R&B genre. Her voice, silky smooth with a rich baritone, leaves no doubt that she’s here to stay.
Originally from Dallas, Texas, Allura comes from a pretty distinctive background. She’s a creative artist who has spent her life in the interest of arts and crafts. She started her journey very early on as a phenomenal singer and an incredible dancer. She discovered her knack for working as an aesthetic creator at age 3 and hasn’t looked back ever since.
Playing and singing at the IMPACT Youth Choir at the Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church and The Black Academy of Arts and Letters helped Allura realize how much she wanted to do it for life. She played a major role in several performances and earned appreciation for her work.
Allura always felt that she was different from the beginning. As a child, she wasn’t interested in the usual games children of her age would play. While something like this can have a negative impact on a child’s growth, it made Allura who she is now: a strong, independent female R&B artist, who makes sure to stay unapologetically true to herself.
There was a time that she did lose herself because of generic societal pressures. It did gain her a college degree, however, she realized soon enough that this was not how she wanted to live her life. She started making music and now has two charted singles from her debut album.
Unlike many other prominent music artists, Allura is one of the most humble and down-to-earth women in the music industry. As a bonus to her already rich vocals, she has an addictively beautiful personality. It is just fantastic to see a woman like her succeed in a male-dominated industry, and that too with a positive mindset.
It takes years of practice and experience to reach a point in one’s life where they are entirely comfortable with themselves. We are living in a stale, cliched society that grants no space to anyone who is even a little bit different – not knowing that these people might be the ones to bring something new to the table.
Allura’s world, on the other hand, is about embracing all that is different in you while maintaining a go-get optimism. She’s continuously striving for equality with her no-nonsense attitude on all her social media platforms.
