Social Media Strategist John Jackson Teaches People How to Create Content on Instagram and YouTube

Instagram and YouTube are two of the most popular platforms for entertainment and socializing. Both platforms empower creative content that can be informative or entertaining for its users. Influencers around the world work hard to make the best content for their followers on these platforms and John Jackson is one of them. He is a well-known influencer and social media strategist.

While John is a full-time attorney, he became involved in social media as a creative outlet and as a way to pursue his passion for wine.  Due to his well-written content, photography skills and valuable insights into the world of wine, John’s Instagram page grew very quickly and has 10,000 followers the first year.  From there, John also began to work as a social media strategist. John understands that social media can be a bit of a grind, but it is still possible to succeed by focusing on producing high quality, value-added content on a consistent basis.

Attorney Somm, John’s YouTube channel, has become popular among wine lovers who are interested in wine tasting, wine collecting, or wine education in general. His content is authentic and interactive for his followers. John has 17k+ followers on Instagram (@AttorneySomm) and 950+ subscribers on YouTube.

As an accomplished wine influencer on various social media platforms, John also teaches beginners how to create interactive content to grow their audience as well. Here are some tips by John on content creation:

  1. Always Plan Before You Begin

Content without any planning often looks disorganized and messy when posted. John advises people to plan out their content before filming or typing it out on social media. John often prepares draft posts or outlines in Microsoft notes while brainstorming about various ideas and then revises them to make sure that they are polished and professional before posting or publishing.

  1. Think Differently

There are thousands and millions of contents in each niche; sometimes it is hard for the users to pick. John advises you to think differently to make your content stand out from others.

Social media content should be creative, and it should cover things that have never been explored or seen in a certain perspective before you. So, you should be open to new ideas and concepts. After all, content creation is all about being creative on the platform to attract the audience.

  1. Watch Other Influencers

Research is an important aspect of content creation. You must watch other influencers’ contents, who belong to your niche, to understand how you can create your content and improve it.
