Since our childhoods, most of us have been listening to an old English proverb ‘Where there is a will, there’s a way.’ By now we have heard it so often that we understand that this proverb emphasizes hard work, determination, and goal.
It shows us the importance of willpower, and the change it brings to a person’s life. It means that if you have the willpower to achieve something; then nothing can hinder you.
It comes as no surprise that determination is the driving force for anyone to achieve success. When one’s desires lack perseverance, efforts, and purpose, one remains unsatisfied. Without determination and strong willpower, it is almost impossible for one to achieve anything. Therefore, to reach success, one must work with dedication and interest.
Our strong willpower to achieve success creates a way to ensure success and makes it easy for us to climb the ladder of success.
And Dr. Iman Taheri is living proof of the wonders a strong will and determination can do!
Dr. Iman, who graduated from medical school as the youngest general surgeon in 2014 has been practicing medicine worldwide with priority on the challenged regions, volunteering in war-torn and poverty-stricken areas without readily available access to modern medicine and sophisticated medical technology in Trauma Surgery.
After his general surgery residency, Dr. Taheri volunteered in a drug war zone in one of the most unfortunate areas in Southern Iran. And after two years of practice, mostly in trauma surgery, Dr. Iman certified in Dubai for cosmetic surgery
Pandemic, like it was for everyone, was a shock for Dr. Iman as well. Everything changed for him but that didn’t make him a pessimist. He used this pause to reflect on his life and nourish other aspects of his life.
And he returned strong. Embraced the change that the pandemic brought in his life and was able to regain his strength. He started to share his poetry and supportive short-form videos on social media. Although he was not fluent in English and was completely a stranger to western culture, he was able to create a community of like-minded people around his content! All due to his consistency and authenticity.
And his courage and consistency paid off. Over the last 10 months, he has managed to create a community of over 500,000 audiences globally, all-around social media.
He also has short, medium, and long-term plans. Not only does he aim to connect western medicine with ancient wisdom to find the answer to being and living life to the fullest extent, one of his main goals is to create a community outside of any social media platform. He’s been working on his website and mobile app, which will allow him to connect with his audience in the most direct way possible.
