Every venture starts with a purpose in mind, whether the desire to introduce something new or impart valuable information to the masses. For H Due, their passion for rescuing animals and giving them a shot at a better life led them to become a Certified Veterinary Technicians (CVT).
Born and raised in a small town, H Due moved to Madison, WI, fifteen years ago to look for a chance to make a change. Attending tech school between 2012 and 2015, They began learning the nitty-gritty details involved in animal care. After graduating, H started to work at a general practice as a CVT and has continued to do so for seven years.
However, H’s expertise in understanding the animal’s psyche does not end here. They developed a knack for promoting their cat, Nora Jean the Earless Queen, on their Instagram page, @Nora.no.ears. With numerous people following Nora’s posts and stories, H has earned recognition for being more than a CVT; they’re also an animal rescuer and a hero at heart.
H Due found Nora on the Dane County Humane Society Facebook page. They left a comment under the post and had their friend pick Nora up. With more rescue animals under H’s care, they found Nora to be the perfect match for Doodles, their other pet cat. Marking their second anniversary together in January 2022, H has posted Nora’s daily routine on Instagram. Nora gained recognition from several platforms and has many articles written on her journey.
H’s ongoing work as a Certified Veterinary Technician is to create a safe space for Nora and all other pets. As a pet parent, they empathize with creatures and understand what provides the most comfort to rescue animals.
Thus, H dreams of opening their own company, Due Zoo. H takes care of Matilda; a three-legged pittie, Jelly; a one-eyed Shih Tzu, Ramona; a three-legged kitten and Doodles; who lacks empathy. They also have eight lizards, two guinea pigs, three fish tanks, and the famous Nora. We might see Due Zoo become a reality sooner than we think!
The aim behind opening Due Zoo is to introduce the world to the special little critters that reside there, their daily activities, and their routines. Through the miniature zoo, H will be able to answer all queries related to animal care and provide a step-by-step action plan for other cat and dog parents. Moreover, with Due Zoo, they want to tackle notions that deprive animals of a home, especially those who are a little different than the others. Their valuable advice has led many people to save animals and give them a chance to live the beautiful life they deserve, regardless of their appearance.
Intending to share Nora’s progress, the Instagram account has reached more than 36,000 followers, all captivated by H’s work and Nora’s growth. As a person who is passionate and committed, they have made their mark and did the unthinkable: giving animals like little Nora a chance at life where others wouldn’t think twice about doing so.
