Born and raised in Atlanta, GA, Dr. Carlton Calhoun never had much in terms of material things, but he never lacked the basic necessities of life. Like every other child, he was taught to go to school, get good grades, and then get a good job after graduating. While for the majority of the population, graduation refers to completing high school but for Carlton’s family, it refers to college. Thus, ever since he was a child, the idea of education had a very special place in his heart.
Instead of just graduating from college, and getting a degree, Carlton took a few steps further and went as far as one could go in terms of education in order to earn his Ph.D. Even though he excelled in his studies and also had started his first business of building customer websites, Carlton soon realized that without a solid financial education, a Ph.D. simply stands for “piled high in debt”. Thus, as he further explored the financial markets, he slowly understood its potential and decided to enhance his skills and knowledge in it.
Despite the fact that Carlton was introduced to trading and investing by his mentor and business partner in September 2019, within the next 8 months, was able to create an additional 6+ figure income in that area. And regardless of the multiple opportunities in the field, he discovered that there were still a lot of people who didn’t know much about money or finances! Thus, as a result, Carlton decided to take the job of transforming the mindset of people into his hands, so that he can help equip people with skills through which they can multiply their money.
However, such skills are not taught in school unless one majors in finance. And even though Carlton had always been passionate about teaching and education, he soon confronted the fact that passion doesn’t always pay the bills. Therefore, one needs to look for ways to make more money in a shorter time period. So, for the last 2 years, Carlton has been teaching people about financial education and how they can put their money to work for them. In addition to that, he has made it his mission to help as many people as possible to shift not only their mindset about how money is made but also assist in learning a skill that would help them multiply their money.
Using this knowledge, Carlton has successfully been able to trade in his Ph.D. for an M.B.A. (Massive Bank Account) as he helps people supplement their income through trading, investing, and e-commerce strategies.
